Ig Nobel awards help humanize scientists

Wayne State criminology professor Steven Stack was co-author of a study that showed that country music listeners face a greater risk of suicide than other people. He won the Ig Nobel in Medicine for the work. Their research, including analysis of country music lyrics, showed the major themes - travails of love, alcohol and finances - have all been linked to increase risk of suicide.
